Getting There
Due to its central location in the Heart of the Alps in Austria between Germany, Switzerland and Italy, Tirol is easily accessible by car/coach, rail and air:

Air Travel

Munich International Airport – 170 km (www.munich-airport.com)
Zurich International Airport – 250 km (www.zurich-airport.com)
Innsbruck Airport: numerous connecting flights from the international airports of Vienna & Frankfurt (www.innsbruck-airport.com)

Airport Transfer

To get you to your holiday destination in no time at all, there are companies who provide inexpensive and reliable shared-ride services to/from airports. To avoid any delays, we recommend that you book the shuttle service prior to arrival. "Shared-ride" means that you share your ride with passengers going to multiple locations near yours.

Travel by Car

Tirol is easily accessible by car. If you intend to use Austrian motorways and expressways your vehicle must display a motorway toll sticker ("vignette"). These stickers, valid for a year, two months or 10 days, can be purchased at many petrol stations close to the border, at the Austrian border, and at automobile associations (ÖAMTC, ARBÖ).
